Background on HTML
HTML is a type of language which is used to describe the web pages. HTML means Hyper Text Markup Language. However, HTML is not a type of programming language but a markup language. HTML is a set of different markup tags. These markup tags are used in HTML in order to describe the web pages.
The markup tags in HTML are usually known as HTML tags. These tags are basically keywords which are surrounded by the angle brackets, for example <html>. These tags normally are used in pairs. The first tag is the start tag and the second tag is known as the end tag. Both of these tags are also known as the opening tag and the closing tag.
The HTML documents are used to describe the web pages. These HTML documents are made up of plain text and HTML tags. The HTML documents can also be known as web pages. A web browser like Firefox or Internet Explorer does the job of reading the HTML documents and displaying them over the internet as web pages. The HTML tags are not displayed by the browser but they are used in order to interpret the page content.
A Basic Understanding of HTML Colors
The HTML color codes are made up of hexadecimal triplets. These are represented by the RGB colors- namely red, green, blue. Consider this example to get a clear picture. FF0000 is the color code for red. This code means 255- red, 0 blue and 0 green.
The colors can be produced by using the RGB codes or the color names for many different page elements. Using HTML attributes and elements for color specification is deprecated. Instead, you can use CSS for this purpose.
Because of the wide disparity in the color calibration in the computer monitors, sometimes it becomes a little difficult to predict if the color would be displayed accurately across the internet. The best thing to do is to just specify the right color and see how it would be displayed later on the web.
